Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiology

Who we are

The Association of Physician Assistants in Cardiology (APAC) is a professional organization for Physician Assistants who practice in Cardiology. Since recognition as a Specialty Organization of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) in 2003, APAC has made considerable progress toward our goal of becoming the primary resource and advocate for all cardiology PAs. APAC collaborates with the Academy and actively participates in the House of Delegates at the AAPA annual meeting to assure representation of Cardiology PAs. APAC also works closely with the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and other national organizations to promote and advocate for increased utilization of PAs to provide high quality, cost-effective care to patients with cardiovascular disease.

Cardiology Clinical Reviewers and Consultants Needed

The Wellness Network is a national patient education company that creates video and print materials to help clinicians educate their patients. Our education products are distributed through 3,000 hospitals nationally, and we are a partner with the American Heart Association. We are looking for cardiology consultants to help us create new and updated education products. Topic areas include primary and secondary prevention and risk factor modification, heart valve conditions and surgeries, stroke prevention and care, CABG, heart attack, heart failure, and cardiopulmonary rehab. Consultants will be expected to review scripts, videos, print materials, and education care plans to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance. If you’re interested, some writing may also be involved. This is a remote position, with a 1-year contract that renews upon satisfactory performance. Reviewers can expect a time commitment of 20 hours or less per year. Please send your CV to Jon VanZile, Content Director, at jvanzile@thewellnessnetwork.net.
