Anticoagulation Consortium Roundtable

APAC Immediate Past President
Joseph Tommasino, PA-C, PhD will be attending this roundtable!

The purpose of the Heart House Roundtables is to engage expert stakeholders in all relevant specialty areas, to inform and help guide future initiatives to improve care.  Past Roundtables have resulted in mobile tools, white papers, articles in Cardiology magazine, published Expert Consensus Documents and more.  The Roundtable will take place Friday, December 8, 2017 from 7:00am to 3:45pm at the ACC’s Heart House in Washington, DC. 

This Roundtable’s priority topics include:

  1. DAPT, TAPT, and the intersection with anticoagulation
  2. Prevalence and overuse: how to discontinue inappropriate aspirin use and reduce bleed risk
  3. Anticoagulation in valvular AF
  4. The stroke prevention gap, and disparities in care
  5. The burden of symptomatic vs. asymptomatic AF: justifying ongoing long-term OAC therapy

Our Mission

To enhance the personal and professional growth of its constituent members and all Physician Assistants practicing in the Cardiology specialty through educational opportunities, community involvement, and political representation and advocacy.
